Photoshoot at Broadkill Beach, July 10th

Plans changed-- we had our photoshoot at Broadkill instead...lol. Actually we got a little lost driving along the coastline. A lady I asked directions from said "Fowler beach is down that-a-way, to the left. Signs will guide you. Can't miss it!" lol. Ok, we obviously missed it, being unable to see past the beach combing houses blocking our sea-view. When the road (more like a path) unexpectedly ended with a private, gated entrance, I switched places with Emily and took the wheel.
Thus we ended up turning around, and found ourselves at Broadkill, with a country store on our right and a rather crowded beach residential area on both sides....but the sand was ahead. Ahhhhh...it was BEAUTIFUL that night! Well worth it. We did have a great time, and got a few pics! Enjoy ya'll!

"I smile o'er the wrinkled blue
Lo! the sea is fair,
Smooth as the flow of a maiden's hair;
And the welkin's light shines through
Into mid-sea caverns of beryl hue,
And the little waves laugh and the mermaids sing,
And the sea is a beautiful, sinuous thing!"

"Ere we go mates--Off to Fowler Beach!

Happy Tuesday! God is glorious! Today I am going to Fowler Beach, a wild beach, and a popular site to hunt for sea glass. I'm facinated by this area, because this part of the Delaware coastline in littered with shipwrecks. Seperating the beach from the mainland is a vast expanse of marsh, a Delaware definition of salty wilderness. Shanty towns are shattered along the shore, nestled atop the dune-ridge. Ahhh...a great place for adventure!

My oldest of 3 sisters, Emily, and her boyfriend are going with me. We're creating a photo album documenting their dating outings, so this a great chance to take pictures for it. =) I'll write you later and post some of the shots we take.

Off we go!

Life, caught up to speed =)

Heyyyy how ya'll been? I've just arrived back in my home state here on the East Coast after living in Kentucky for nearly 3 months.

During that period of crazy life, I worked at the Creation Museum (ever heard of it? if not, I definitely encourage you to check it out). It was a FANTASTIC learning experience on the whole. While I did experience some technical difficulties, and significant bumps in my relationship (I'm now committed to being single for the rest of the year, as God would have me), I grew spiritually and toughened up mentally, not to mention lost some weight..lol. =)  I decided to "go organic" partially due to the wonderful influence of some Christian folks I stayed with for a while, up until I left to move back home. Trying to eat healthy--checking EVERY food label--is difficult if you're a Wal-Mart shopper, at least...you know what I'm talking about, all you calorie-counters. lol ;)

Thank you to everyone who has kept me in their prayers over the past few months. Your kindness is greatly appreciated!! God bless you, fellow blogger and friend.

From one of God's Daughters,
Leah

PS: A tidbit about love that I wanted to share, taken/summarized from 1 Corinthians 13...

“This love of which I speak is slow to lose patience - it looks for a way of being constructive.
Love is not possessive.
Love is not anxious to impress nor does it cherish inflated ideas of its own ideas.
Love has good manners and does not pursue selfish advantage.
Love is not touchy.
Love does not keep account of evil or gloat over the wickedness of other people. On the contrary, it is glad with all good men when truth prevails.
Love knows no limits to its endurance, no end to its trust, no fading of its hope; it can outlast anything. It is, in fact, the one thing that stands when all else has fallen.”
